The Typical Dominican Instruments
The Dominican Republic has within its traditional music a great variety and richness at a harmonic and instrumental level.
Some typical Dominican instruments are:
La Güira : is a percussion instrument used in different musical genres, such as the Dominican merengue, cumbia, northern music, among others. It is also a tropical Antillean instrument, its shape is cylindrical, and ends at the top in a rod-shaped curve.
